Only the best for your pets!

I can ensure that your pet will have more than enough time outside. It will be hard to stop their tails from wagging with all the fun they’ll be having. Outdoor activities not only provide an opportunity for exercise, but also help to curb bad habits by giving pets a chance to release excess energy and socialize with other animals.

Pet sitting

I come to your home whilst you are away to look after your pets. This includes, cats, reptiles, amphibians, inverts and small mammals. I can do as many or as few trips as required by you. The price is charged per visit.

I will generally do two trips a day. The morning trip will be to clean litter trays/cages and provide fresh water and food. The evening trip will allow for a little extra time to play and cuddle your furry and scaly friends to ensure they are not lonely whilst you are away. I can send you pictures to show you they are happy and well and they will have bundles of fun in my care.

Please note: we do not do dog boarding and are only offering limited short holidays for dog sitting services in your home due to now having our daughter and not wanting to be away from her for too long. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Dog Walking

You may find you struggle to fit in a daily walk for your dog due to work or your physical ability, or maybe you just want 1 or 2 days off a week from your walking duties. Maybe you have been ill or had surgery or are moving house or decorating. Whether you need regular dog walking, adhoc or require a temporary dog walker, I am here to help.

I am a solo dog walker, although I will walk multiple dogs from one household. There are many reasons why you may want to choose a solo dog walker rather than groups. Whether your dog is reactive, nervous, old, disabled, very exciteable or whether you just like to know that all of your dog walkers attention is focused solely on your dog I can help. Having a solo dog walker does not mean your dog will not socialise with other dogs if they are able to. It just means all my attention and affection goes to your dog and I can ensure they are safe at all times. I can walk your dog in areas popular by dog walkers to give them opportunities to soicalise so don't worry about them not getting this if desired.

On the other side of this, do not worry if your dog is reactive. I have walked many reactive dogs and take the time to understand their fears and needs. All dogs and people have the right to go for a walk safely and I ensure your dog is in safe hands and will walk them in the appropriate areas keeping watchful at all times so they can enjoy their walk and feel happy in my hands. I never judge a dog by its breed! Each dog has its own history and personal experience that shapes its behaviour and personality and I get to know each individual so I can learn what your dog requires to feel safe with me.

I can do shorter walks for those who have old, disabled, small dogs or if you know you'll take it for a long walk later in the day and you just need someone to break up the time theyre alone and allow them to go for the toilet, release some energy and have some attention there is an option for this. I can go for a long walk in the countryside for those more energetic pooches. Whatever you require I am happy to do it.

Reptileboarding

For those of you like minded reptile lovers, I am fully equipped to look after your scaly mates at my own home. I have 8x 2.5 foot vivariums, 2x 4 foot vivs and 2 tortoise tables ready and waiting for you to bring your reptiles to me. I can collect if transport is an issue for you.

This is a cheaper option for you than having me come out and check them daily. I can change their water, feed bugs/fresh salad, spray them if required multiple times if necessary and keep an eye on lighting and heating.

I understand that not all reptiles can manage in 2.5 foot vivariums if my bigger ones are in use which is why I do offer home visits if that is best suited for your reptiles. Please contact me to find out how I can help meet your specific needs.

We have a 5* license to keep reptiles and take them out into the public so rest assured they are in great hands when they stay at our Scales and Tails Reptile Retreat!

Parties, events and 1-to-1 animal handling experiences

I can be hired for kids parties, schools, weddings, public events or you can surprise your friends and family with a gift voucher to attend a private animal handling experience.

My fascinating animals have a great temperament and I am fully confident to handle them. I can guarantee you will have a lot of fun and learn something you didn't know before.

I have attended many schools now including; pre-school, primary, secondary, colleges and SEN schools. You'll find animal therapy is extremely beneficial, fun and educational. The reptiles in particular have a lot of different textures and movement to them providing great sensory for all. Wedding Services

Pet taxi, Day care, Overnight care or hire the animals for your special day!

Want your pet to share your special day and be in your wedding photos but don't want the stress of having to look after them or leave them alone for the whole day?

I can bring your animals to your wedding in time for photos, walk them and care for them for the day and for one night with a walk the following day so that you can enjoy your wedding day worry free and have some great memories to share of your pets with you on your special day.

If any of your guests require a doggy day care we can also assist them with this too.

Or as a unique extra to entertain your guests during your reception whilst you go off and take those all important photographs, you can hire me to come a long with a couple of reptiles. See our 'Animal Party Hire' page for more information!

Doggy Drive By

Got a puppy that is not yet allowed out until they have been vaccinated? Need to leave it home alone a little longer than you want to?

We all know that it isn't that easy or realistic to only leave your dogs for no more than 4 hours. If you are worried about how long you have to leave your puppy/dog and you need to have someone let them out for their toilet time to keep on top of house training, I am available to pop in briefly for a bit of love and attention and to stop them having to cross their legs. You may not require me to walk them so I am here to help you in whatever way is needed for your piece of mind and an accident free home!

Reptile equipment for sale/hire

This service is subject to availability. I have an egg incubator for hire and various substrate and bulbs for sale. If you need help sourcing anything cheaply pop an email over to me and I can see what I can do for you.

After all reptiles are not the cheapest pets to set up so anything I can do to make it cheaper for you, so you can provide the best care and environment enrichment for your reptile, I will.

Extra Domestic Services

As an added bonus to having me come to your house to look after your animals which is always preferable to putting them in a situation they may find frightening and stressful, I can also keep an eye on things at your home.

Completely free of charge of course!

I can bring in your post, water your plants, put your bins out, provide timers for your lamps if you want to make it appear you are home, turn the heating on and even buy in some basic shopping for your return (to be reimbursed on proof of receipt).

With my service comes piece of mind that your home and your animals are in good care.
